Future Direction

Goal 1
Integration with software for making slides and presentations

Creating slides with multimedia contents is another key task for speakers nowadays. Although we'd like our users focus on creating outline first to make sure they have a well-crafted structure, we are looking forward to fit the process of creating visual aids into podium in the future.

Goal 2
Quick challenges for learning

What if there's no speech to give? Our next step is to incorporate quick challenges for speakers who'd like to improve upon certain skills, such as vocal qualities, body language, or even improv speech.

Goal 3
Features for group presentations

Current version of podium was designed for individual speaker. We'd like to add features for multiple users to cooperatively edit an outline or practice as a team in the future.

Goal 4
Importing any video/audio for voice analysis

Users will be able to import video/audio files in our future builds. By analyzing recording of their actual on-stage speech, users can compare them with their practice recordings. It's also possible to analyze speeches given by other successful speakers, so we can learn how to speak as well as them.

Goal 5
Mobile companion app for practice on-the-go

Some of our participants told us they could imagine themselves practice on-the-go with a smartphone. While desktop interface is still preferred for certain aspects such as writing outlines, other aspects like practicing by recording or simple re-structuring of section cards could be done easily on mobile interface.

They're the best thing that ever happened to me in this journey! We are not only a great team, but also best friends. We never stayed in the studio late because we were super efficient and we believed that work-life balance improved teamwork. We had team happy hour every week, and we even went to Vancouver BC for a team retreat. They were the reason why I felt sad when this project came to its final stage. They taught me the importance of team bonding. They not only made me a better designer, but also a better friend.

Now I'm going to show you some of our awesome team photos and make you jealous of our team!

If you had
One shot
Or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted
In one moment
Would you capture
Or just let it slip?
